The JetEx®8D operates at variable speeds giving a much quieter and more fuel-efficient power delivery system. The rugged design, combined with our rugged 5th wheel steering, provides superior visibility and maneuverability in today’s congested ramp areas.

The reduced fuel consumption rate provides fuel cost savings and reduces engine emissions, which support the “Going Green” initiatives of the GSE industry. The Hobart Jet Ex 8D features the Cummins QSF2.8 diesel engine operating between 1600 and 2400 RPM and the Hobart ground power designed and manufactured single bearing generator. A key benefit is that there is parts compatibility with the JetEx 4, JetEx 5 and JetEx 6. Integrating customer influenced design, innovative technology, and Hobart’s years of engineering expertise maximizes the GPU performance and maintains the traditional Hobart standard of durability and reliability.
